Orzo Pasta Salad: Boil pasta 5-7 minutes and drain. Add a small jar of pesto and a can of tomatoes (Italian spiced). Add grated Parmesan Romano cheese, fresh basil from the garden. Great to eat cold.
Chana Masala: Boil dried chickpeas 1 hour, drain. Cook chickpeas 2-3 hours at a low boil. Add spice mix and boil ~45 minutes more until chickpeas have a dark color. Add 1 stick of butter and a diced onion to a frying pan or wok. Add chickpeas and stir fry until a sauce forms. Ate this cold too on toast for breakfast.
